Norton Youth Band, founded in 1975, is a marvelous way for young music makers to get together and make music. The band practice twice a week with a beginners class on Thursday. If you want to join, then please take a look below....

Required ASAP, Bandmaster/teacher/conductor for the band.

Norton Youth Brass is celebrating 25 years this year and until recently was led by John Warley of York Golden Rail Band. The current membership is around 25 with an age range of 8 - 14 although there is no upper age limit. The majority of the current membership has been playing for less than a year. Successful past members have gone on to play with higher section bands; Kirkbymoorside Town Brass Band, Stape Silver Band and York Railway Institute.
We require someone enthusiastic and committed who can take over the leadership of the band and/or can help with teaching in order to bring the best out of the youngsters.

Practice Nights ( Can be altered) Monday    6.30 - 8.00
  Wednesday 6.00 - 8.00
  Thursday 6.15 to 7.30pm (Beginners)
