Ryedale Council have finally capitulated and moved towards helping trade in Ryedale, or at least just Malton for now. They have allowed a trial of a more reasonable car park charge. The trial is for one year so visitors must use the Wentworth Street Car Park or the council will revert back to old regime. The map below shows the route to Wheelgate, the main shopping street, where the Market Place and other shopping areas can be accessed.
