Aims and Objectives
We aim to help and support those with M.S. within the Ryedale Area. Listed below are the support areas where we feel our priorities lie:
Respite Care, Holidays, Home Appliances, Transport, The Family Unit, Carers, Listening, Group Interaction, Information and Resource.
We are impartial and non-judgemental, giving help and encouraging self-help. Links have already been established with our neighbouring branches. Support is offered to the family unit of those suffering with M.S. Through the revenue of our Charity Shop and other fund raising events, we are able to meet the on-going costs of welfare.
The Social Club
Was tentatively formed in May 1994 to sound out the popularity of such a venture with our Members in such a large rural area. It has proved to be an outstanding success despite the distances which had initially to be traversed with no special transport - our Special Coach purchased in April 1997 is making so much difference to "Families with Mobility Problems" in our area.
